Nobody wants to start wearing hearing aids. They are (commonly) a reminder of the ageing process for people who may otherwise see themselves as fit, active, and social. Additionally, others who have tried hearing aids in the past, or witnessed the struggles of older family members who wore them, may carry a negative perception of their performance.

There is also the significant investment that hearing aids can represent.

Being able to try hearing aids helps reduce resistance to that first purchase. And with modern technology constantly evolving, first time wearers will have a better experience than ever before.
